About our School...
Mossley Nursery School is a stand alone Nursery School. It is an educational establishment, controlled by the Education Authority. We provide for Pre-school children and plan following guidance from the Curricular Guidance for Pre-School Education (DENI).
We are situated in our own grounds in Hazelburn Road, Newtownabbey, adjacent to Mossley Primary School.
Starting September 2025 we offer 52 full-time nursery places.

In order to achieve our vision staff will: -
- Support strong communication with parents and carers, involving them in their children’s learning and actively cultivating a sense of belonging.
- Serve as role models for all pupils, supporting each child’s emotional health and wellbeing, fostering positive relationships, promoting independence and resilience in every child.
- Resource a stimulating learning environment characterised by well-equipped indoor and outdoor spaces –which support curiosity, exploration, and learning.
- Ensure inclusivity at the heart of our approach – not only celebrating each child’s progress but actively nurturing their confidence and embracing their uniqueness
- Ensure that each child’s learning journey is thoughtfully supported through engaging with relevant, impactful professional development, continuous evaluation and quality planning responsive to the presenting needs or interests of each child.
- Foster active collaboration with governors, relevant external agencies and wider community stakeholders to align school priorities, enhance strategic planning, strengthening the school’s long-term development and enriching learning experiences
