The Wee Wood
24th Nov 2015
The children have been exploring the wood through our weekly 'forest school' sessions. They have had the opportunity to explore the environment and the changing seasons. We have also had the opportunity to work with Brian Poots from the Northern Ireland Forest Schools Association to learn some skills to both enjoy the outdoors and to also keep us safe in the 'wee wood'.
Brian taught us where it was safe to play
Enjoying the MUD!
Making Cheryl some porridge!
Look at my mucky hands!
Planting conifer leaves to make a 'wee wee wood' for the fairies!
Oops! I fell, but my suit keeps me clean!
'Fishing' in the puddles.
We were using sticks to dig for worms.
Got one!
Yummy toast on the campfire!
We could hear the rain on the canopy!
Building dens with Brian.
Whittling minibeast houses using the tools.
Story time in the wee wood.
